Flora and Julian have been thrown about the foster care system for as long as they can remember. They don’t remember being born, just being plopped into the little white house. They have many theories of how they got there but none of them containing a mother. Now living with their new mother and father they try to work their way through their history step by step. Caela Carter’s second middle grade novel is a exiting tale about the mysterious ways of a lost childhood. It was thrilling to see the memories, traumas, and how Julian and Flora worked through the puzzle peices of their life. I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend it for ages 8-12
