July in Colorado means peaches! Which is why, for our July Cookbook Club pick, we’ve selected a peachtastic cookbook full of recipes perfect for showcasing Colorado’s Palisade peaches: The Peach Truck Cookbook: 100 Delicious Recipes for All Things Peach by Jessica N. Rose and Stephen K. Rose.
During a trip to Stephen’s hometown in 2012, Jessica was treated to her very first Georgia peaches. This led to a conversation with local farmers about the challenges in getting super ripe, sweet peaches at peak freshness into people’s hands. And thus The Peach Truck— Jessica and Stephen’s Nashville-based company that sells Georgia peaches in Music City— was born! Since then, their company has grown and now sells peaches throughout the midwest and northeast, sharing tasty Georgia peaches with as many people as they can!
For their debut cookbook, they’ve paired with some of Nashville’s hottest chefs to put together a collection of over 100 peach-centric recipes ranging from muffins and jams to salads and burgers! Paired with peachy facts and history, The Peach Truck Cookbook is a perfect addition to any kitchen!
