Have you ever felt like you don’t want anyone to see you? This book is about a girl named Vicky who is terrified of talking to anyone or even being noticed by anyone. She starts an Instagram account with the name Vicurious. Other people that feel alone like her start reaching out and Vicky quickly starts getting more and more followers. But this means it is also harder for her to hide who she really is.
I liked this book because it was realistic but not boring. Although I usually love dystopian future kind of books, I liked this book anyway. The characters were very realistic and it was hard to hate any of them. This book was not extremely suspenseful like a lot of other books I enjoy, but I still found it to be interesting enough for me to finish it quickly and enjoy reading it.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read something uplifting because throughout the book there are moments that will make anyone feel good. It is not uncommon for a great book to have a not-so-great ending, but the ending of this book definitely did not disappoint me. This book is okay for anyone 10 and up because I don’t think any of the material would be very disturbing for younger readers. I would give this book 8 out of 10 stars.
